Afra Dopfer Case study

Video 3'48 min, edition 5, 2006

Two hands each hold a small red ball. While the left hand throws the rubber ball upwards out of the picture surface and catches it again, the right hand lets it fall down in the same rhythm. The recovery happens at the same moment in both cases. Between the clapping sound of the palm of your hand when you catch it, you can hear the ball falling on the ground. At the end of the sequence, both hands catch their balls and hold them steadily in one hand.
